SCOPE
Space Contract Furniture were appointed to rejuvenate the tired hotel lobby at the Chelsea FC Millennium & Copthorne Hotel. With a limited client budget, we were able to utilise all three of our key skills; importing new European sourced product, creating bespoke manufactured furniture in-house and reupholstering existing product the hotel already had.
OVERVIEW
Knowing we had this project coming up meant that we were the first furniture supplier in the UK to use the Bristol side chair from the Milan show 2019. The Bristol side chair added a touch of class to the bar area with its Art Deco feel.
In such an open plan high traffic area, we wanted to improve acoustics while providing quiet seating areas within the balcony room. To encourage more private meetings for business users, high walled acoustic sofas were specified. The basic formed lounge chairs were jazzed up with plain and brassie organic fabrics. Reupholstering these products allowed us economically complete this refurbishment project to a larger extent than we would have been able to just using new product.
