Space believe that choosing the right furniture for a setting is one of the key factors that can affect the final feel of a project. Central to creating the right interior environment is selecting the right restaurant chairs and restaurant tables. This was the case at Pembroke lodge.
Situated at the highest point in Richmond Park, Pembroke Lodge is a magnificent listed Georgian mansion that has been lovingly restored, with this in mind Space needed to be sensitive when putting together the interior design for the restaurant, with the final outcome, a setting that would provide public tearooms and first class facilities for weddings.
The furniture and the overall interior design for the restaurant were designed to complement the building’s scale and history, whilst enhancing the original features. A mix of hard wearing family-friendly and upholstered restaurant chairs and movable restaurant tables made for an adaptable area which could create different spaces when needed. Fixed elegant curtain panels were included to help with the acoustics in each of the dining rooms, without reducing the all important natural light or restricting the views of beautiful Richmond Park.
The redevelopment of the Tea Rooms also included a brand new servery, influenced and complimented by original Georgian features, provided by Space Catering.
- A mix of furniture styles are used to create both family friendly and events areas.
- Including soft furnishings and upholstered restaurant chairs, help to deaden sounds.
- The scheme was designed to be in-keeping with the buildings history and enhance the original features.
- Bright fabrics used on traditional style restaurant chairs create a modern interpretation of a Georgian dining room – but not a faux reproduction.
- Large restaurants tables enable groups and families to sit and enjoy their time together.
- Upholstered seat pads on the restaurant chairs stop the area from feeling stark.
